The Draper Chain Saw is a chainsaw with a 40 cm (16 in) bar and petrol power.
A 40 cm bar cuts a log of about 40 cm in a single pass, and is at its most comfortable on timber up to roughly 35 cm. Thicker wood is not impossible, since cutting from both sides doubles the effective capacity, but it is slower and harder to keep straight.
The specification lists an output of 1.73, a 1300W motor.
It is fitted with low-kickback chain.
Petrol suits firewood, felling and work away from power. Budget for a 50:1 two-stroke mix unless the manual says otherwise, keep the bar oil topped up, and do not store it over winter with fuel in the carburettor. It is a homeowner grade machine, intended for occasional use rather than daily work.
