BLACK+DECKER CS2245-GB Corded Review pairs a 17 in (43 cm) bar and mains electric power.
With 43 cm of bar, expect to deal with logs up to about 38 cm without thinking about it, and up to 43 cm in one pass. Beyond that you are working from both sides, which is fine for firewood and poor for felling.
The specification lists a 2200W motor, a 240V battery platform, a listed weight of 7.1 kg.
It is fitted with low-kickback chain.
A mains saw gives the most cutting power per pound spent, as long as the work happens within reach of a socket. Use a heavy-duty extension lead fully unwound, and plug into an RCD. It is a homeowner grade machine, intended for occasional use rather than daily work.
Specifications are as published by the manufacturer or the retailer listing rather than measured by us. Always check the figures on the product page before buying.
