What's the difference between this 'carving' model (duc254cz) and the non-carving duc254z?
The Carving model has a thinner chain and bar: ” 1/4″ , as compared to the more commonly found “3/8″. I prefer the Carving version for pruning large shrubs and small garden trees and fruit trees, where a fine clean cut is important. For general and heavier cutting jobs, like cutting logs, I would normally prefer a saw with a ” 3/8″ pitch chain and bar.
